A Phase II Trial combining Hypofractionated Radiation Boost with Conventionally Fractionated Chemoradiation in locally advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer not suitable for surgery.
(with Co-Principal Investigator, Jose Bazan, MD)

For Patients with Stage-II-III Lung Cancer who can't undergo surgery, chemoradiation for 6 - 6.5 weeks is standard of care. Despite this, primary tumors recur in 30 - 40% of patients. This clinical trial is designed to improve on local control by giving an additional boost of radiation to the primary tumor in addition to the standard therapy.

OSU 15032
A Pilot Trial of Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) to Induce Tumor Hyperemia in Combination with Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) for Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma

For Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (a type of liver cancer) who can't undergo surgery or transplant, trans-arterial chemo-embolization (TACE) is standard of care. This clinical trial tests whether the addition of a boost dose of radiation prior to TACE improves TACE delivery and tumor control.
