Head and Neck Cancer


The Head and Neck Cancer team provides comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of head and neck benign and malignant diseases in the following areas: 

  • Oral cavity
  • Salivary glands
  • Paranasal sinuses and nasal cavity
  • Nasopharynx, oropharynx, hypopharynx and larynx,
  • Thyroid
  • Skull base.

 

 Our Radiation Oncology physicians work closely with the Head and Neck Surgeons, Medical Oncologists, and Prosthodontics in a comprehensive multidisciplinary manner. We also work very closely with other specialty services at OSUMC including pathologists and radiologists who are focused on the care of patients with head and neck cancers. Critical support services including Dietary and Speech Pathology have clinics in the Radiation Oncology Department every week to assist our patients. Our department also has a full time social worker who is invaluable in assisting patients and families find needed resources.
